About Me
Kelly Thorn is a writer, editor, and writing coach living in Southern New Hampshire. She holds a master’s in journalism from the University of Texas and is pursuing a second master’s in creative writing and literature from Harvard Extension School.
She is the current director of programming for the New Hampshire Writer’s Project and a former language arts teacher, senior editor for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and 2005 graduate of the Denver Publishing Institute. She was awarded the 2024 Elizabeth George Foundation grant for emerging writers. Her poetry can be found in the Brattle Street Review, and she is busy at work on her debut novel.
In her free time, she loves hiking, photography, traveling as far and often as possible, and adventuring with her husband, two kids, and rescue dog.
